Reformation Underground Radio is a weekly radio show that jams the internet airwaves from BlogTalkRadio every Thursday at 11pm Eastern in order to help you grow in your theological understanding by examining theologians of the, well, deceased sort. Gruesome, yes, we know. But it isn’t as bad as you would think. Reformation Underground Radio is the voice of the Reformation Underground and all those who make up the Reformation Underground: Dead Theologians Society. The show is hosted by David Appold and T. Emmett Bramwell, two guys who have discovered the importance of dissecting the words of yesteryear to better grasp the words of today. Are you getting the picture? David and Ty are not morbidly obsessed with rotting corpses, but rather the gold mines of information the dead dudes left behind upon their timely, or perhaps untimely, or… is there a halfway point between timely and untimely? … anyway, their deaths. Reformation Underground Radio is a must listen to program that walks through history, trampling on butterflies (thank you, Ray Bradbury) in order to affect the way Christians today receive the waves of information bombarding them in the name of Christ. Basically, if people know what theologians have said about God in years gone by they will be better equipped to discern what people are saying about Him today. Between their discussions, the guys crank up some music, putting forth an unusual compilation of sounds for your listening pleasure, or displeasure depending on your musical interests. To make things even better RU Radio has teamed up with Time Out in order to offer a solid melodic break, solidifying the difference between casually listening to music, and worshiping God through the hymnody. If you still haven’t figured out the premise of the show, perhaps its catchy slogan can help you nail it down: Reformation Underground Radio: examining the dead to better serve the living!
Every episode is available on the Archive page found above as well as at the BlogTalkRadio show page and of course on iTunes so you can listen on demand! You can also listen to RU Radio on your smart phone or iPod Touch through the Stitcher app.
